AedID uses two kinds of cookies and similar storage: the ones the product cannot work without, and optional analytics that only run if you say yes. No advertising cookies, ever.

Strictly necessary

• Session cookie — keeps you signed in. Set by our authentication system; expires with your session.
• Consent choice — remembers your answer to the analytics question (browser localStorage, not sent to us).

These need no consent — the service does not function without them.

Analytics (optional)

• Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage statistics (which pages, how often). Until you consent it runs cookieless in a denied state; consent enables its analytics cookie.
• Microsoft Clarity — session replays that show us where the product confuses people. It does not load at all until you consent, and your documents and conversations are masked from recordings.
